When I was younger my Grandpa would draw cartoon characters for me. I remember him drawing Popeye the most. My parents took me and my family to Walt Disney World when I was 4 and 5 so the year would be 1986 and 87. This was my earliest memory of being exposed to cartoons and a very happy memory at that. I tend to return to happy memories and try to create new memories from those happy memories. Back in 2013 I returned to WDW on my own dime and started getting into the art behind the magic. I became fascinated with the history of Disney and the cartoons that created this wonderful world. More importantly it was my first time visiting with a digital camera and I fell in love with The Partners Statue in front of Cinderellas Castle. I actually purchased a smaller version of this statue for I always wanted to recall my happy memory of seeing this statue for the first time. When I watch Disney cartoons it makes me forget about all the troubles in this world and the stress of my life. When I draw these characters, the same thing happens to me.
