Back in 2004 I asked my parents for a digital camera for Christmas. Ever since I was young I always wanted a fancy camera. I received a sweet Vivitar point and shoot that I took a ton of photos with.
After I received this, I wanted a camera that zoomed in a little bit and invested in a Kyocera camera for around $500. I loved this camera. The zoom was incredible but it didn't take great images in the dark so I wanted something more. That's when someone said to me, "you should buy a Canon Digital SLR.” In the summer of 2005 I worked at a camp called Cybercamps on the Amherst College campus teaching kids how to design websites for a month. I received $1000 and spent all of that money on a Canon Digital Rebel XT with 2 kit lenses; a wide angle and telephoto lens. I photographed my sisters wedding with that camera in 2006 and set up a website with those photographs.
I started this business because I enjoy taking photos of people on the happiest day of their lives. It's not just taking the photos but offering them a great product at an affordable price. There are a ton of photographers out there offering services for weddings but not all of them have an artistic background like I do. Photography comes natural to me because of this and now my 11 years of offering my photography services. If you have any questions on which camera to select for your first camera or an upgrade, feel free to contact me here.
