I once was approached at a wedding back in 2007 by a guest who said "How are you taking pictures without using flash" Read my ISO post here for the answer. Currently I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark 3 equipped with a Canon 24-70 F/2.8 II L lens. I also use a Canon 7D equipped with a 70-200 IS F/2.8 L lens. I use 580 EX 2 flashes on my camera bodies and a few pocket wizard plus 3's for my off camera flash system. I like to shoot into two umbrellas for formals in the church. This really illuminates my subjects very nicely and adds some nice catchlights in their eyes. I use a Canon 100mm Macro lens for my ring shots. I use BlackRapid R straps to keep my cameras by my side. I edit my photos with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Photomatix Pro for HDR photos. People sometimes ask me for advice on cameras and my advice is the same. Cameras are just tools that I use to produce my photos, that's all. Some tools are better than others and you need to have the right tools to get the right shot. I like to shoot with two cameras at times to be able to go from a wide angle shot with my 24-70 to a telephoto shot with my 70-200 almost instantaneously. Here's an image of me photographing a wedding at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Ma rockin 2 cameras with the Black Rapid Double R strap on my back.
