Something I got into a couple years ago was equestrian photography. I learned a lot about timing when it comes to horses, jumping and the position of the rider and the horses hoofs. There aren't a ton of equestrian photographers around and this is something that I really enjoy capturing. I've photographed a lot of these photos for the Mount Holyoke College Equestrian Center in South Hadley, Ma and the Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield, Ma. Growing up my sisters use to ride and we owned horses, Anna who was a horse and Cookie who was a pony and we kept them in our backyard in a barn that my Dad built. There was also an area for riding back there as well. That is my connection with horses. I rode very briefly when I was younger. I wouldn't mind riding again as it seems like a lot of fun. Check out the images below from a few of my equestrian photography sessions at Mount Holyoke College and Stoneleigh-Burnham School.
