A lot of people ask me what kind of camera I shoot with. In today's video I talk all about cameras and which one would make a great starter camera for you. My main camera right now is a Canon 5D Mark 3. I also own a Canon 5D Mark 2, Canon 7D, Canon 30D and a Canon T6i. I look at cameras as tool like a pencil is a tool for an artist. A paintbrush is great for painting rooms or a beautiful painting. Think of cameras as tools and depending on which one you used equipped with the correct lens will give you phenomenal results. When I was first starting photography I got a Vivatar point and shoot camera for Christmas in 2003. I then purchased a Kyocera camera that was another point and shoot but had a decent zoom. After that I upgraded to a Canon XT which allowed me to change lenses and came with two kit lenses. I then sold that and upgraded once again to the Canon 30D and purchase really great lenses, the Canon 70-200 and the Canon 24-70. I then added some prime lenses to my camera bag including the Canon 85 1.8 and the Canon 1.4. These were great lenses for portraits and getting some really great bokeh behind my subjects. After that, I wanted to get close ups of rings so I added the Canon 100mm Macro which is a beautiful lens if you are looking to get close to things that are small. There are so many great cameras out there weather you go with Canon, Nikon or Sony. The first camera someone recommended to me was Canon so that's why I still recommend it to others as it's always given me great results.
