I woke up the other day wanting to draw Figment from the EPCOT ride Journey into Imagination with Figment. I've sketched this one before but I wanted to add color this time. This is a digital piece of art created with procreate on my iPad. It took a few hours to create with an apple pencil. I should note that Mickey Mouse is one of my favorite Disney characters which I always find myself sketching or drawing. I would say that Figment is one of those rare characters that you don't see too often so I wanted to incorporate him with Mickey. I find the ride at EPCOT to be very magical and dreamlike and I never want it to end as it brings me back to being a child again. Recently I found a figment plush for sale at a flea market that I had to buy for $4. It was from the year the first Figment ride opened in 1982, the year I was born. Maybe that's why I have such a connection to this character.
