What should I wear for my session? What time of day should we take the photos? Indoors or Outdoors? I have your 10 Portrait Tips for you.
1) Take your photos early in the morning around 8 or 9am when the sun isn't so high and harsh. This will add some backlighting for you.
2) Wear something comfortable but matches who you're getting your photos taken with. Not match like jeans and a white shirt but colors that play off of each other nicely.
3) If you're having photos taken with young kids, bribery goes a long way. I've heard donuts do the trick.
4) Sessions are usually an hour but I'm getting great photos right when we begin so if kids start getting tired, it's okay to end a few minutes ahead of time.
5) Photos when the sun is setting work out great as well.
6) There is no fee for rebooking so if the weather isn't cooperating, it's okay to rebook for a day with better weather
7) Aim for the wall hangars meaning let's go for pictures that you'll hang on the wall as an 8x10 and bigger and then we can get a nice portrait of each child
8) Updating your photos every year so Grandma gets a nice photo for Christmas
9) Have fun. Feel free to take silly photos or fun ones to lighten the mood
10) Show those pearly whites. When I was younger I didn't show my teeth as much as I do now. Smile and be confident in yourself
11) Book your session below and then contact me to set up a time.
